PREPARATIONS are underway to hold this year’s edition of the national exams which are to be held on May 2-4.
The Education and Training Quality Authority is co-ordinating the preparations with the Education Ministry.
A total of 13,000 Class XII students enrolled at 36 government-run schools will sit their national exams.
The examinations measure the main competencies that students acquire after completing 12 years of preuniversity education in Arabic, English and mathematical skills.
The aim is to evaluate students’ performance by measuring the language and arithmetic skills, knowledge, and basic competencies that students acquire at the end of the secondary stage, and their ability to analyse information
and data before joining the university.
