Bahrain’s local central markets are witnessing a sharp rise in the prices of Rabbitfish, locally known as Safi, with prices surging to record high of more than BD7 per kilo from less than BD1 per kilo recently.
Fishermen and fishmongers attributed the sharp rise to supply scarcity due to weather changes.
