BAHRAIN’S delegation participated in a symposium on the World Health Organisation’s plan to fight obesity.
The event was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly, which convened in Geneva.
Speeches were delivered by delegates of the participating countries, including Bahrain, Seychelles, Portugal and the Philippines.
Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of the subject and the experiences that will be spotlighted in stopping obesity.
She pointed out the great importance attached by Bahrain to this issue in concordance with achieving the development goals.
