MORE than 40 local dancers took part in a show which was held to raise awareness about the work of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).
The production, Manifestations, organised by the Indian Fine Arts Society (IFAS), was held at the Regency InterContinental.
RHF secretary-general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed attended alongside Indian Ambassador Vinod Jacob and Sri Lankan Ambassador Wijeratne Mendis.
Choreographed by Bharatanatyam exponent Hansul Gani with collaborative inputs from experts in the US and Kerala, India, the production explored the mystic connection between life on earth and the five sacred elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Al Sayed said: “Indians in Bahrain have always aligned their compassion with the example of His Majesty the King whose vision empowers the RHF.
“With His Majesty’s leadership as our guiding light, we have helped rebuild churches, schools and also helped support refugee camps all over the world, without discrimination and in keeping with the One-Family Spirit of Bahrain.
“We live in difficult times and with the unfolding crisis in Gaza, we must sensitise our children to the need for compassion and humaneness.”
IFAS president Nisha Rangarajan presented a donation to the RHF at the event.
