PARIS: French Health Minister Stephanie Rist said on Friday that there were 2,025 excess deaths recorded during the blistering heatwave that hit the country last month, adding that the number could still rise.
There had been a particular increase in deaths among people older than 45 years old, Rist told broadcaster TF1.
