Shaikha Dwa bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, member of the National Council for Arts, won second place in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week’s (ADSW) Global Digital Art Competition.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and president of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), sent a cable of congratulations to Shaikha Dwa.
HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed pride in Shaikha Dwa’s achievement in this international competition.
She praised Shaikha Dwa’s distinguished talent and creativity in using art as a tool to raise awareness on pressing issues, wishing further success and achievements.
The competition was held at the Connect Conference Centre, Expo City, Dubai, under the theme “ United on Climate Action at COP28”.
Shaikha Dwa said: “Winning the second place in this global competition reflects the constant care and support enjoyed by Bahraini artists, who are encouraged to devote their mission to achieving the goals of the comprehensive development process, led by the King and supported by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.”
