Former Bahrain resident and GDN employee Johny Poulose, 69, has passed away in his hometown in Kerala, India, following prolonged illness.
The funeral will take place today at Christian Brethren church in Angamaly east, Ernakulam district.
Mr Poulose worked as a driver with the newspaper from 1981 to 1998.
He is survived by his wife Molly and daughter Joyce Jeffin, 33.
