Staff Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday met British Defence Senior Adviser to the Middle East and North Africa Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren at Riffa Palace.
Shaikh Isa affirmed the enduring relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, underpinned by decades of multi-sectoral collaboration, including in the military and defence sectors.
He highlighted the kingdom’s commitment to strengthening Bahrain-UK co-operation to achieve shared aspirations.
Shaikh Isa welcomed Vice Admiral Ahlgren to the kingdom, noting the importance of furthering military and defence co-operation and the exchange of expertise between the two nations.
During the meeting, issues of common interest and the latest regional and international developments were discussed.
Shaikh Isa recognised the UK’s prominent role in safeguarding regional and international security and peace, alongside allied countries.
