His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, has highlighted the importance of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) in ensuring global stability and prosperity.
This came as he met US Deputy National Security Adviser for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger on the sidelines of the 20th edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue yesterday.
He highlighted the longstanding Bahrain-US relations, which are bolstered by a strategic partnership and multisectoral collaboration, particularly in military and defence, with the most recent example being C-SIPA.
HRH Prince Salman noted that C-SIPA is designed not as a bilateral arrangement, but as the beginning of a multilateral framework that aims to bring together countries with an equal interest in delivering stability and prosperity.
“It is a model for how nations can promote an inclusive vision grounded in mutual respect and shared goals,” he added.
He underlined that “engaging in wide-ranging partnerships such as these will be crucial to advancing the cause of multilateralism and ensuring that co-operation becomes the cornerstone of our collective security frameworks”.
“Through such agreements, we are confident that the Middle East, and the global community, can build a future rooted in peace, economic growth, and a rules-based international order that benefits all people,” he said.
He highlighted the advanced levels of co-operation between Bahrain and the US, emphasising the latter’s pivotal role, along with its allies, in safeguarding security and stability, both regionally and internationally.
He stressed the kingdom’s support for all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace, contributing to the advancement of sustainable development for all nations and their people.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on ways to enhance co-operation in the military and defence fields.
