US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has congratulated Bahrain and its people on the occasion of National Day.
“On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people on the occasion of your National Day,” he said, in a message posted on the US Department of State’s website yesterday.
“This year, we celebrate the enduring partnership between our two nations, highlighted by the first anniversary of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement and two decades of collaboration under the US-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement.
“These milestones demonstrate our shared commitment to advancing regional stability, economic growth and innovation.
“We commend the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in promoting peace, modelling coexistence and religious tolerance and fostering opportunity for future generations.
“The United States values its close friendship with the people of Bahrain and looks forward to strengthening our co-operation in the years ahead.”
