Workers were treated to refreshments by two expatriate groups, who organised their summer campaigns recently in a display of generosity and community spirit.
A total of 150 labourers at a construction site in Manama were served fresh fruit and juices as part of the Indian Ladies Association’s (ILA) weekly ‘Beat the Heat’ campaign.
Ford Bahrain supported the initiative by providing the iconic Ford F-150 4x4 to transport the supplies.
In the coming weeks, ILA plans to visit more sites across the kingdom, with further activities and collaborations in the pipeline as part of its seasonal campaign.

Kindness and a smile
Meanwhile, unregistered group Pravasi Welfare’s public service arm ‘WelCare’ distributed kits with fruit and refreshments to workers in Salmaniya, Manama and Gufool.
The event, which is part of its ‘Pravasi Ashwas’ campaign, will continue in the coming days and aims to prioritise the health and well-being of workers during the scorching summer.
Group convener Muhammadali Malappuram said residents or local groups interested in patronising the initiative may call 36703663.
