Al Manaratain, a leading concrete block manufacturer in Bahrain, said that support from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has helped advance the careers of nearly a third of its Bahraini employees.
The company, which has been in business for more than 60 years, said it used a number of Tamkeen’s programmes, including the Wage Increment Support, Enterprise Training Support, and National Employment programmes.
The funding is part of Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities, which aim to strengthen the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector and equip them with the skills needed for career progression.
Tamkeen’s support for local enterprises contributes to the development of Bahrain’s construction sector, which employs more than 160,000 people.
Al Manaratain was founded in 1959 by Ali Yousif Hassan Al Khameeri and also supplies concrete products to the Saudi Arabian market.
