The event, to be held under the banner of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), will take place under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The hosting agreement was signed by Bahrain Paralympic Committee (BPC) president Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa and BWF president Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul.
The signing ceremony was attended by BPC secretary general Ali Mohamed Al Majed and Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation president Dr Sawsan Taqawi.

Its design is inspired by the interior shape of a shuttlecock, incorporating geometric patterns that align with the designs found on traditional Bahraini wooden doors, thus reflecting the kingdom’s national identity and embodying the authenticity of its architectural and cultural heritage.
Shaikh Mohamed expressed his pride in the trust placed by the BWF, affirming that hosting the championships continues Bahrain’s successful track record of organising global sporting events, especially in Para sports. He noted that the BPC has successfully organised five previous international Para badminton championships.
He highlighted that the kingdom’s selection reflects its high reputation and organisational capabilities, while praising the significant support from His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, whose role has been paramount in the advancement of Bahraini sports, particularly Para sports.
Shaikh Mohamed also commended the continuous support of Shaikh Khalid, which has been instrumental in achieving sporting successes and enhancing Bahrain’s standing on the international sporting stage.
