Al Hilal Hospitals and Medical Centres has successfully advanced the careers of 120 Bahraini employees, thanks to strategic support from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
The hospital utilised multiple Tamkeen initiatives, including the National Employment Programme, the Enterprise Training Support Programme, and the Wage Increment Support Programme, to hire and upskill the national workforce. Tamkeen’s backing aligns with its 2025 strategic priorities, which are focused on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector.
The programmes aim to equip Bahrainis with the skills needed for career progression while supporting enterprise growth, digitalisation, and sustainability within the private sector.
This collaboration is part of a broader effort between Tamkeen and private institutions to enrich Bahrain’s vital healthcare sector, which contributes significantly to the national economy by creating high-quality employment opportunities for skilled Bahraini professionals.
Currently, more than 10,000 Bahrainis are employed in various specialties within the healthcare sector, according to the Bahrain Skills report. Established in 2006, Al Hilal Hospitals and Medical Centres operates 10 branches across the kingdom.
