Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni visited the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia in Awali.
She was accompanied by Sustainable Development Minister Noor Al Khulaif in an event organised by the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, in the presence of Bishop Aldo Berardi, the centre’s executive director Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia Muneera Al Doseri and religious and official figures.
The Italian leader praised the pioneering experience of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad, in respecting freedom of religion and belief, upholding the values of tolerance and coexistence, and promoting a culture of peace and dialogue among civilisations, cultures and religions.
