A Moroccan civilian contractor in the UAE Armed Forces has been killed in Bahrain and others injured, including Bahraini servicemen, following an Iranian attack targeting the kingdom, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced in a statement on Tuesday.
The General Command expressed its condolences following the ‘martyrdom of the Moroccan serviceman who lost his life’ while taking part in operations to counter Iranian missile and drone attacks.
The command extended its heartfelt sympathies to the UAE Armed Forces and to the family of the fallen hero.
The statement also confirmed that a number of Bahraini and UAE personnel were also injured while carrying out their duties during the same incident.
It added that they were taken to receive medical treatment after sustaining ‘minor to moderate injuries.’ Many have since been discharged from the hospital after receiving care, and medics continue to monitor the remaining cases.
