His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahraini Youth Day, which falls today, is a national occasion that renews pride and appreciation for the continuous support Bahraini youth receive from His Majesty, who has made young people the focus of the comprehensive reform process, and established youth empowerment as a fundamental pillar in building a modern kingdom.
Shaikh Nasser noted that the continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reflects the implementation of this national vision through government policies and programmes that increase the presence of young people in various areas of development and provides opportunities, in terms of innovation, entrepreneurship, and active participation in vital sectors.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted the solidarity of the Bahraini society and its deep-rooted national cohesion, which is one of the most important pillars of the kingdom’s strength and stability. He noted that Bahraini youth are a fundamental pillar in reinforcing these national values through their awareness, sense of responsibility, and loyalty to the nation.
Shaikh Nasser added that this social solidarity reflects national belonging and support of the leadership and strengthens the security and stability in the kingdom and supports its development.
He also said that Bahraini youth are the kingdom’s true wealth and source of renewed strength, who have proven themselves to be active partners in making national achievements through their creativity and excellence in various domains.
He affirmed that Bahraini youth continue to create inspiring success stories that reflect their ambition and determination to contribute to the kingdom’s progress and prosperity.
He affirmed that the SCYS will continue launching initiatives, policies, and quality programmes that hone their skills and increase their opportunities to participate in shaping the future.
SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahrain Youth Day serves as a significant national milestone to celebrate the talents and outstanding achievements of Bahraini youth across various domains.
He noted that youth are the primary pillar of the comprehensive development process and explained that the qualitative achievements of Bahraini youth, particularly in the sports and youth sectors, reflect the significant support provided by the government.
This support has empowered young people, providing them with opportunities to showcase their capabilities and refine their talents to serve the nation.
He also praised the efforts of Shaikh Nasser in supporting and encouraging Bahrain’s youth.
Shaikh Khalid noted that this national occasion embodies the spirit of solidarity within Bahraini society, where youth stand alongside all segments of the community in a manner that reflects deep loyalty to the nation and its leadership. He emphasised that this cohesion is a key factor in the stability and progress of the kingdom.
Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi emphasised that the national awareness and solidarity of Bahraini youth represent an honourable model of unity in facing challenges. She explained that this synergy reflects deep loyalty to the nation and its leadership, further strengthening the kingdom’s security, stability, and development.
Ms Tawfiqi said that Bahrain Youth Day is an occasion to celebrate the pivotal role of young people in building the future.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh said that marking Bahraini Youth Day reflects appreciation for the achievements of youth.
He affirmed that the Shura Council will back legislation and policies that strengthen their role in development.
