A shop selling flashlights at unjustifiably inflated prices has been shut down following inspections conducted by the Industry and Commerce Ministry.
The field checks were carried out after reports of rising prices for certain goods across the kingdom.
The Inspection Directorate visited 102 retail outlets across Manama, Hidd, Diyar Al Muharraq, East Riffa and Isa Town to verify prices, ensure the availability of goods, monitor violations or unjustified price increases, and assess compliance with the law.
Legal action was taken against the offending establishment.
Additionally, the ministry called on consumers to promptly report price increases under the current circumstances by calling 80001700, emailing inspect@moic.gov, or reaching out through Tawasul or other official communication channels.
