HANDBALL – Barbar and Al Ettihad were both winners yesterday in their gameweek 18 fixtures of the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Barbar defeated Al Ettifaq 33-28 while Ettihad cruised past Tubli 34-24 – both at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassan Sports Complex.
In Barbar’s triumph, they held a slim 17-15 lead at the half and then did well to hold on to their advantage en route to securing their 10th victory of the season, improving to 37 points on the table.
Ettifaq suffered their 13th loss and went to 25 points.
Ettihad, meanwhile, built a commanding 18-9 cushion heading into the locker rooms and never wavered the rest of the way.
They secured their seventh win to rise to 27 points, while handing Tubli their ninth setback for 29 points.
The league’s 18th round concludes tonight with Al Shabab taking on Samaheej at 7pm at the same venue.
