MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI karting sensation Tariq Soofi enters a new chapter in his international motorsport journey with Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), it was announced yesterday.
The move integrates with Tariq’s current campaign as part of Italy-based Lenovo Kali Kart Team, with whom he is racing this 2026 season in top European championships.
BBK, a leading financial institution in Bahrain, is keen to support Bahraini talents in all fields as part of its development strategy for the kingdom’s youth. Eleven-year-old Tariq represents a unique opportunity for a young Bahraini driver who has the potential to develop into a professional racer, raising the kingdom’s flag on the world stage.
Meanwhile, Tariq is also supported by Shepherd International Logistics and Trading in his racing journey.
Tariq is the back-to-back Micro MAX champion of the Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC) at Bahrain International Karting Circuit. He races in the BRMC with leading local squad NorthStar Racing.
He is being guided in his campaign in Europe by Minardi Management – a leading driver-management company in Italy with over 30 years of experience in international motorsport.
