The Ministry of Interior announced that the Capital Governorate Police Directorate had arrested seven Bahrainis, aged between 18 and 23, for stealing gold jewellery, watches and other valuable items with an estimated value exceeding BD800,000.
Investigations revealed that the accused had exploited the homeowners’ leaving the house and carried out the theft.
The directorate explained that immediately upon receiving a case from the homeowner, an investigation was launched, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
The stolen items were found in their possession after they had been hidden in various locations.
It was also found that one of the suspects was already in custody in connection with another security-related case.
The necessary legal procedures had been taken, and the case had been referred to the Public Prosecution.
