HANDBALL – AL Ettihad powered past Al Ettifaq 34-29 last night as gameweek 20 wrapped up in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
The match was played at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex with no fans in attendance.
Ettihad held a comfortable 18-11 lead at the half and did well to hold on to their advantage over the final 30-minute period.
Ettihad claimed their eighth win in 18 tries and improved to 34 points in mid-table. Ettifaq, on the other hand, were handed their 14th defeat as they went to 26 points just above the bottom two on the standings.
With the result, Ettihad joined Al Dair, Tubli, and Al Shabab as winners from this round, during which defending champions and current table-toppers Al Najma were held to a draw by Al Tadhamun. Najma dropped a point for only the second time this campaign.
