His Majesty King Hamad yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to Nabeel Kanoo on the occasion of his election as chairman of the Bahrain Chamber.
He expressed his best wishes for success in continuing the chamber’s work and further strengthening its pivotal role in supporting economic activity and development in the kingdom.
He also congratulated the members elected to the board of directors of the chamber for its 31st term, wishing them continued success.
The King commended the chamber’s significant achievements since its establishment more than 86 years ago, noting its standing as one of the region’s oldest chambers and its leading role in advancing Bahrain’s commercial and industrial sectors, as well as enhancing the kingdom’s economic position regionally and globally.
He also praised the longstanding contributions of Bahraini merchants and business leaders, whose efforts across generations have driven economic growth, supported investment opportunities, and played a key role in the kingdom’s commercial and economic development.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a cable of congratulations to Mr Kanoo on his election and the new board members.
Mr Kanoo sent a cable of thanks to His Majesty, expressing his sincere gratitude, on behalf of himself and the board of directors, for his congratulatory cable.
He expressed pride in the royal confidence placed in the chamber’s role, noting that it places a heightened national responsibility on the chamber and reinforces its resolve to continue contributing as an active partner in advancing economic development and strengthening Bahrain’s position as a leading economic centre, in line with His Majesty’s vision and directives.
He reaffirmed his commitment to stand united behind the leadership of the King, supporting all national efforts and expressing full readiness to undertake responsibilities during this phase with a spirit of commitment and institutional discipline, in a manner that supports economic stability, safeguards national gains, and serves the interests of the kingdom and its citizens. He also expressed his wishes for Bahrain’s continued security, stability, and prosperity under His Majesty’s leadership.
He sent a similar cable to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
