The US Embassy in Manama has lifted its shelter-in-place advisory for American citizens in Bahrain, though it continues to monitor the regional security situation closely. While the specific advisory has been eased, the Embassy has suspended routine consular services, maintaining only limited emergency support for US nationals.
Officials have urged all Americans to remain vigilant and maintain personal security awareness. Residents are advised to keep a supply of essential items, including food, water, and medication, and to follow all instructions issued by Bahraini authorities.
The Embassy also reminded citizens of local laws regarding the documentation of security incidents. Under Bahraini law, filming or photographing military installations or incident locations is strictly prohibited and subject to criminal prosecution. Additionally, all public gatherings and demonstrations remain banned by the Interior Ministry.
