PARLIAMENT Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam has welcomed the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the steps to submit a draft law to cover the payment of April salaries of Bahrainis insured in private sector companies from the unemployment insurance fund, and on directing the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) to launch a programme to defer loans and provide liquidity support measures for the economy and financial sector.
Speaker Al Musallam said the directives support Bahraini citizens and the private sector, strengthen financial and banking stability, and help protect national employment and economic activity.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh also welcomed the directives of HRH Prince Salman. He commended thee proactive steps, noting that they reflect the approach of His Majesty King Hamad in supporting citizens, protecting their livelihoods, and easing the financial impact caused by recent events. He said the measures show strong national unity between the leadership and the people in facing challenges.
