His Majesty King Hamad held a meeting with UAE President Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was present.
His Majesty welcomed Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed and highlighted the longstanding ties between the two countries, built on a history of close co-operation, which stand as a model for relations among neighbouring states.
He affirmed that the UAE has, across various stages, maintained its role as a key partner committed to collective unity and continues to stand alongside fellow countries, commending the positions of Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed, which reflect a clear and steadfast approach.
His Majesty also recalled the sacrifices of fallen servicemen from both countries who gave their lives in defence of shared values and principles, emphasising the bonds that unite the two countries.
In light of current regional developments, His Majesty emphasised the UAE’s steadfast positions, reflecting a shared sense of responsibility. He expressed appreciation for the UAE’s support, which has contributed to strengthening Bahrain’s capacity to address challenges effectively.
The King emphasised that the relationship between the two countries extends beyond a shared history to a unified vision for a more stable and cohesive future.
He reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further advancing this close partnership in a manner that serves the interests and aspirations of both countries and their peoples and reflects a tradition of solidarity and shared destiny. His Majesty expressed wishes for continued security and stability for the two countries, and success in achieving the aspirations of their peoples.
