Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani received US Ambassador Stephanie Hallett. They reviewed the longstanding historical relations and close strategic partnership between Bahrain and the US across various domains, including means to further advance co-operation in support of their shared interests.
They also discussed current regional developments, particularly the repercussions of Iran’s blatant attacks against Bahrain and the GCC states.
The meeting further addressed the risks associated with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation, in addition to an exchange of views on enhancing co-operation within the UN Security Council.
