The Education Ministry has launched a dedicated webpage on its official website (moe.gov.bh) introducing the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in government schools.
It aims to provide students and parents with comprehensive information about the programme and support the development of educational outcomes in line with international standards.
The webpage includes an overview of the programme and its educational objectives, alongside the advantages of obtaining an IB qualification for admission to higher education institutions locally and internationally.
It also outlines the programme’s implementation in government schools, the approved curricula, nomination criteria and procedures, and the list of participating schools, in addition to guidance for students interested in enrolling in the programme.
The ministry invited students and parents to review programme details and requirements through the dedicated page and adhere to the registration period which ends on April 21. The ministry will contact parents of students who meet the nomination and assessment criteria, with the first cohort scheduled to begin the programme in September.
