The Arab Parliamentary Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) endorsed MP Dr Mariam Al Dhaen as its representative in the IPU Standing Committee on United Nations Affairs.
The decision was made during a co-ordination meeting held on the sidelines of the 152nd IPU General Assembly in Istanbul.
Dr Al Dhaen expressed appreciation for the confidence of Arab parliamentary leaders and commended the support of Parliament Speaker and parliamentary division executive committee chairman Ahmed Al Musallam.
