A 43-year-old Arab national has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate for allegedly possessing more than 1.5kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances estimated to be worth over BD36,000.
According to authorities, the arrest followed a tip-off that prompted an immediate investigation and identification of the suspect.
The drugs were confiscated and legal procedures are currently underway to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
