His Majesty King Hamad has expressed pride in the longstanding relations and close ties between Bahrain and Jordan and their continued development through mutual commitment to strengthen them.
The King was speaking as he received Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II yesterday.
The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Majesty’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Royal Guard Commander and Supreme Defence Council Secretary-General Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Guard Special Operations Commander Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Majesty welcomed the Jordanian Crown Prince and extended his greetings and sincere wishes to King Abdullah II and to the Jordanian people for continued development and advancement under his leadership.
The King commended the advanced level of co-operation, co-ordination and joint work across all domains in a manner that serves mutual interests.
His Majesty also expressed appreciation for the efforts of King Abdullah II in strengthening Bahrain-Jordan relations, as well as for the steadfast positions demonstrated by Jordan under his leadership towards Bahrain, and for its solidarity and support in relation to the Iranian attacks.
The Jordan Crown Prince conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II and his best wishes for Bahrain and its people for continued prosperity and progress.
The Crown Prince of Jordan also commended the role of His Majesty and his continued commitment to enhancing the well-established bilateral relations and deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries.
He reiterated Jordan’s solidarity with the kingdom, its condemnation of the Iranian attacks, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard Bahrain’s sovereignty, security and stability, and to ensure the safety of its territory and citizens.
The Jordanian Crown Prince also commended Bahrain’s role, through its presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the current month, in supporting Arab causes and strengthening joint Arab action.
