HIS Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict 11 of 2026, appointing directors at the executive body of the Supreme Council for Environment, based on a proposal by the council’s president.
The edict stipulates the following:
Article I: Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa is appointed as director of the Mohammed bin Zayed Nature Reserve Directorate.
Nouf Ali Abdulmohsen Al Wasmi is appointed as director of the Natural Reserves Affairs Directorate.
Article II: The president of the Supreme Council for Environment shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
HRH Prince Salman also issued Edict 12 of 2026, assigning an acting director at the Social Development Ministry, based on a proposal by the Social Development Minister.
Article I: Mariam Mahmood Qassim Al Bardouli is assigned as Acting Director of the Child Protection Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Social Development.
Article II: The Social Development Minister shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance.
HRH Prince Salman issued Edict 13 of 2026, regarding the restructuring of the board of directors of the Zakat and Charity Fund, based on a proposal submitted by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article I: The board of directors of the Zakat and Charity Fund shall be restructured under the chairmanship of Shaikh Omar bin Duaij Al Khalifa, with the following members:
1 Abdulhakeem Yaqoob Al Khayat – vice chairman; 2 Dr Jameela Mohammed Redha Al Salman – member; 3 Adnan Ahmed Yousef Abdulmalik – member; 4 Ahmed Khalil Ebrahim Khairi – member; 5 Abduljaleel Ali Ahmed Al Hayki – member; 6 Mohammed Jamal Mohammed Sultan, representative of the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf Ministry – member; 7 Ali Jassim Ali Hussain – representative of the Finance and National Economy Ministry – member; 8 Ebrahim Ahmed Ebrahim Al Fudhala, representative of the Social Development Ministry – member
The term of membership on the board shall be four years, renewable.
Article II: The Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf Minister shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
