Seventy-one residential units damaged by Iranian attacks have been fully repaired under the first phase of a government-led restoration programme.
The Works Ministry and the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry yesterday confirmed that the completed works included the repair of 30 housing units in Al Hidd Housing City, 19 units in Sitra, and 22 homes across various other areas.
All required technical and engineering works have been successfully completed.
The project was implemented in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad and the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under which the government is bearing the full cost of restoring damaged homes.
The announcement was made during a field visit by Works Minister Ibrahim Al Hawaj and Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi, marking the completion of the first batch of government-restored properties affected by the attacks.
Mr Al Hawaj said the repair works were carried out in phases through close co-ordination between the two ministries, with priority given to housing units that sustained the most severe damage.
Ms Al Romaihi said continuous co-ordination is ongoing among all relevant entities to ensure the smooth implementation of the approved action plan, which includes damage assessments, execution of repair works, case-specific technical solutions, and compensation procedures.
She added that efforts are being intensified to complete the remaining phases at an accelerated pace, enabling affected families to return to their homes as soon as possible.
She noted that work is progressing steadily to finalise repairs on all remaining damaged housing units.
