His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict 17 of 2026 extending the term of municipal councils, in light of the current circumstances and their repercussions.
According to the edict, the term of municipal councils shall be extended for a period of six months from the date of expiry .
