HANDBALL – The Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) announced yesterday the schedule for the best-of-three Golden Square semi-finals in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Defending champions Al Najma will take on Barbar in one of the match-ups, while Al Shabab will be facing Al Ahli in the other.
Game one in both head-to-heads is scheduled for May 26, to be followed by game two on May 28. Game three, if needed, is slated for May 30 for both series.
All matches will be played at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, the BHF have announced.
Najma secured their place in the last four as top seeds after finishing the season with 56 points for first place on the standings with 17 wins, two draws, and one loss after 20 games.
They will be facing Barbar, who are the fourth seeds, after completing their regular season campaign with 46 points from 13 victories and seven defeats.
The Shabab-Ahli affair will be between the second and third-ranked clubs, respectively.
Shabab finished just a single point behind Najma after matching their 17-win total but with one stalemate and two losses, while Ahli were a further point behind, also with 17 wins but with three defeats.
