On February 28, hostile Iranian attacks targeted Bahrain and neighbouring countries in the Arabian Gulf region, threatening wider Middle East stability. Strikes on civilians and critical infrastructure were not only reckless; they violated international norms and undermined regional security. Yet, their impact within Bahrain has been the opposite of what was intended – rather than division, they have reinforced national unity.
Bahrain’s response to the attacks was swift and disciplined. The Bahrain Defence Force, alongside security and emergency services, acted decisively to protect lives and safeguard infrastructure.
Bahrain’s institutions remain strong and reliable, reinforcing confidence among both citizens and expatriates. For residents – Bahrainis and expatriates alike – this sense of safety and security is not abstract; it is part of daily life.
What stands out most is the visible support from the expat community in Bahrain. While government backing is expected, the genuine solidarity shown by expatriates reflects firm support for His Majesty, the government and the people of Bahrain. Many expatriates have built their lives here and are now standing firmly with the kingdom at a time of challenge.
