An individual has been detained for failing to return a child to its mother, the Public Prosecution announced on X.
The defendant did not comply with a Sharia court ruling for nearly a year.
He has now been ordered to immediately implement the decision in co-ordination with the Social Development Ministry’s social centre.
The child and the family will also receive support and guidance under the ministry’s care initiative.
