His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Jordan Senate President Faisal Akef Al Fayez during his official visit to the kingdom.
The King highlighted Bahrain’s pride in the longstanding ties with Jordan, noting that relations continue to advance across various domains through the commitment of the leadership of both countries to further strengthening co-operation in support of mutual interests.
Mr Al Fayez conveyed to His Majesty the greetings and appreciation of King Abdullah, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people. In turn, His Majesty extended his greetings and best wishes to King Abdullah and the people of Jordan for continued development and prosperity.
The King underscored the importance of such visits in enhancing parliamentary co-operation on various issues, including the exchange of expertise and experiences in a manner that benefits both countries and their peoples.
He commended the efforts of King Abdullah in consolidating Bahrain-Jordan relations and praised Jordan’s supportive stance towards Bahrain, including its role in advancing joint Arab action and strengthening regional security and stability.
The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments of common interest.
Mr Al Fayez expressed his appreciation to the King for the continued commitment to advancing Bahrain-Jordan relations. He also renewed Jordan’s solidarity with Bahrain and condemnation of the Iranian attacks, affirming Jordan’s support for all measures undertaken by the kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, territorial integrity and the safety of its citizens.
