A fearless taxi driver is being hailed as a hero in Türkiye after he wrestled a shotgun out of the hands of a man who hijacked his cab.
The gunman entered Ramazan Yildirim's car while being chased by the police and forced him to drive through the city of Gaziantep for around 80 km, while a terrified passenger sat in the back seat.

Viral dashcam footage showed the brave 58-year-old driver managing to climb into the back seat, grabbing the suspect's weapon and successfully overpowering him while the woman escaped. Police then surrounded the vehicle at a junction and detained the suspect, named locally as 31-year-old Semih C., before taking him into custody.
