The Equal Opportunities Committee at the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) held its second meeting of 2026 to follow up on the implementation of initiatives aimed at supporting gender balance and promoting an inclusive and sustainable work environment.
Chaired by NBR chief executive officer and committee chairperson Rana Ibrahim Faqeehi, the officials reviewed key quantitative indicators as of May, which showed continued balanced levels reflecting progress in empowering national cadres and strengthening the work environment.
It also discussed updates on initiatives, which are being implemented according to approved plans and achieving notable progress in line with their objectives, reinforcing efforts to support equal opportunities and institutional empowerment.
Members discussed a new initiative under the 2025-2026 action plan aimed at promoting mental wellbeing and work-life balance through lectures and workshops in co-operation with relevant entities, with the aim of enhancing awareness, productivity and job satisfaction.
