MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport captured pole in class yesterday as they continued their one-off entry in the 2026 season of the International GT Open.
The American pairing of Scott Noble and Jason Hart powered 2 Seas’ #10 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to the leading grid position amongst the Am category contenders – and 21st overall in the 31-car field – for today’s GT Open 500 – the second round of the series’ calendar being held at Circuit de Spa-Francrochamps in Belgium.
2 Seas secured their place at the start after clocking an average lap time of two minutes 18.366 seconds in combined qualifying, which was held over two sessions.
Noble was in the car in the opening runs and he had a best lap of 2:19.328. Hart then took over the driving duties in qualifying two, where he set a fastest time of 2:17.403.
The GT Open 500 is set to be held today, scheduled for a 1.25pm start, Bahrain time. The chequered flag will come down three hours later.
Scott and Noble are competing this weekend as 2 Seas look to continue their strong start to the 2026 season, which see the squad also competing in the British GT Championship and GT World Challenge Europe campaigns.
Scott and Noble, on the other hand, have also had success on both sides of the Atlantic, including securing an IMSA Sportscar Championship podium in class at the world-famous Daytona 24 Hours. The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) event was held in the US in January.
“Scott and Jason are a proven and formidable pairing, and they will certainly be one to watch over the course of the weekend,” said 2 Seas co-owner Bahrain’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa. “With Spa also featuring in our British GT and GT World Challenge programmes, this weekend doubles as valuable preparation, and looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
