The Roads General Authority (RGA) announced the implementation of road cooling projects at three Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro sites. Spanning 14,000 square meters, the initiative aims to improve the transportation environment and enhance pilgrim comfort during the Hajj season.
According to RGA, the specialised road-cooling technology lowers surface temperatures by approximately 15 degrees Celsius, using materials specifically engineered to minimise heat absorption and block solar radiation.
This infrastructure upgrade helps mitigate high temperatures and improve the surrounding environment at key transportation hubs and high-density pedestrian areas.
