Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister and Haj and Umrah Affairs Supreme Committee chairman Nawaf Al Maawda oversaw the departure of groups from the Bahraini Haj Mission continuing their travel at Bahrain International Airport.
Saudi Ambassador Nayef bin Bandar Al Sudairi, and Justice and Islamic Affairs undersecretary Isa Sami Al Mannai were present.
Mr Al Maawda said that the integrated co-ordination among various official entities during the Haj season reflects the care and attention of His Majesty King Hamad, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure the comfort and safety of Bahraini pilgrims from their departure from the kingdom until their return.
He commended the role of the Saudi Embassy in Bahrain in strengthening co-operation and joint co-ordination to facilitate the departure procedures for Bahraini pilgrims and support efforts to serve them.
The minister added that the early organisational and administrative preparations undertaken by Saudi Arabia for the 1447 AH Haj season contributed to enhancing the efficiency of services provided to pilgrims and creating an integrated environment that enables them to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
He also commended the extensive and ongoing efforts of the Saudi authorities concerned in serving pilgrims from across the Islamic world.
He thanked the Interior Ministry, Bahrain Airport Company, the King Fahd Causeway Authority, and all concerned entities for their continuous efforts and facilities that contributed to streamlining pilgrims’ travel procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of their journeys efficiently.
