GOLF – His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa participated in the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup, held at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Morocco.
Shaikh Nasser met with Royal Moroccan Golf Federation president Prince Moulay Rachid and held cordial talks on the Lalla Meryem Cup, which coincided with the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy.
Shaikh Nasser led a team comprising Hamad Al Marisi, Moulay Abdellah Benzidane, and Italian professional Anna Zanusso.
The team finished third in the Pro-Am.
Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the Lalla Meryem Cup succeeded in establishing itself as one of the premier tournaments in golf, commending the high standard witnessed during the competition and the distinguished international attendance.
Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation for the considerable efforts made by the organising committee and their commitment to ensuring the tournament was organised according to the highest standards.
The participation of Shaikh Nasser in the tournament reflects his continued interest in golf and commitment to attend sporting events that promote engagement, exchange expertise, and strengthen ties among athletes from around the world.
