BAHRAIN’S senior men’s handball national team received a hero’s welcome yesterday upon their return to the kingdom from Doha, Qatar, where they were crowned men’s handball champions of the fourth GCC Games.
The nationals were received at Bahrain International Airport by Bahrain Olympic Committee sports project management director Lounes Madene, in the presence of Bahrain Handball Federation secretary general Majdi Mirza.
The senior men’s handball squad were the last of the kingdom’s delegation in action in Doha. They received their gold medals on the concluding day of this year’s GCC Games on Friday night.
