Traders sign the pledge in the presence of Mr Tarradah, Dr Al Qattan and Ms Al Hamlan
Traders in the Old Manama Suq yesterday signed a document pledging ‘support and loyalty’ to His Majesty King Hamad. The event, held at Bab Al Bahrain, was organised by the Capital Trustees Board in partnership with Alya Al Hamlan, a prominent Bahraini social activist, researcher and media figure known for her community leadership. She also hosts a well-known cultural and social majlis promoting national identity, social partnership and tolerance. Speeches were delivered by board chairman Saleh Tarradah and vice-chairwoman Dr Khulood Al Qattan, while a range of activities were organised for suq visitors.
