Bahrain pilgrims have signed a pledge of loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad, reflecting the spirit of national belonging.
The pledge by pilgrims from the Al Arqam Campaign came as Bahrainis joined others in performing the Haj rituals on the first day of Eid Al Adha, stoning the Jamrat Al Aqaba in Mina since dawn yesterday.
This followed their overnight stay in Muzdalifah before proceeding to perform Tawaf Al Ifadah at the Grand Mosque in Mecca in a spiritual atmosphere marked by security and tranquility.
MP Adel Al Maawda said that sending the document from beside the Holy Kaaba carries symbolic significance in renewing loyalty and devotion to the homeland and its leadership, according to our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister and Supreme Committee for Haj and Umrah chairman Nawaf Al Maawda extended his congratulations to the head and members of Bahrain Haj Mission on Eid Al Adha, praising the efforts exerted to serve the pilgrims and facilitate their movement between the holy sites.
