FOOTBALL – THE relegation/promotion play-offs for the 2026-27 Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League concludes tonight with the third and final matchday taking place.
The two spots for the kingdom’s top flight next season have already been decided, with Al Najma retaining their spot and Manama booking their return after securing their promotion from the Bahrain First Division.
Both teams will clash this evening at the National Stadium in Riffa to determine the team that will secure first place on the final standings. In the other contest, Budaiya, who will be dropping to division one from the premiership, will take on Al Ettihad, who are staying in the first division, at Al Ahli Club Stadium in Mahooz.
Both games are scheduled for simultaneous 7pm kick-offs, although the results will no longer have any bearing on relegation or promotion.
