Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance board of trustees chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Constantinos Kombos.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on Coexistence and Religious Diversity and organised by the centre in partnership with Cyprus in the capital Nicosia.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its close relations of friendship and co-operation with Cyprus and developing them across various domains in a manner that serves their shared interests and enhances their efforts to promote a culture of peace, support dialogue between religions and civilisations, and consolidate the values of coexistence and tolerance at the regional and international levels.
Dr Kombos expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s efforts and the role of the centre in consolidating the values of dialogue, openness, and rapprochement among cultures, affirming his country’s commitment to continuing to strengthen bilateral co-operation across various domains.
