Y K Almoayyed & Sons, the exclusive distributor of Nissan vehicles in Bahrain, is spotlighting the marque’s engineering heritage through its V6-powered lineup.
Engineered for durability and performance, Nissan’s six-cylinder powertrains continue to meet the diverse demands of local motorists for daily commuting, family travel and off-road driving.
Regionally, V6 vehicles remain a core commercial driver, accounting for 35 per cent of Nissan’s total sales volume in financial year 2025 (FY25) and capturing a dominant 55 per cent share within the SUV segment, the highest of any engine architecture in the brand’s lineup.
This success is anchored by a 43-year legacy. Nissan pioneered the segment in 1983 with Japan’s first mass-produced V6 engine, the VG series. Today, that performance philosophy continues through the iconic Nissan GT-R, whose twin-turbo engineering directly informed the calibration behind the current flagship Patrol’s twin-turbo powerplant.
Y K Almoayyed & Sons Nissan and Infiniti Bahrain general manager Ahmed Al Dailami said: “Our current V6 engine portfolio represents the perfect intersection of proven heritage and modern versatility. In Bahrain, Nissan customers value vehicles that combine dependable performance, advanced engineering and everyday practicality.
“Our V6-powered lineup reflects decades of innovation, offering the capability, refinement and reliability that drivers have come to expect from Nissan. As the exclusive distributor of Nissan vehicles in Bahrain, we remain committed to delivering vehicles that confidently meet the diverse needs of customers across the kingdom.”
Across both SUVs and sports cars, Nissan’s V6 lineup balances naturally aspirated reliability with advanced turbocharged performance, meeting the daily, family and enthusiast driving needs of customers across Bahrain.
SUV lineup: Power matched to purpose
The Patrol family showcases this evolution with distinct configurations. Drivers seeking smooth, linear power and time-tested dependability can opt for the 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6.
For heightened performance, a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 powers the all-new Nissan Patrol and the off-road-focused Patrol PRO-4X. Topping the range is the All-New Patrol NISMO, featuring a track-tuned version of the 3.5-litre twin-turbo engine that produces 495 horsepower, making it the most powerful Patrol variant to date.
Completing the SUV portfolio is the Nissan Pathfinder, utilising a 3.5-litre Direct-Injection V6 engine to deliver cabin refinement and towing capability suited to weekend travel.
Sports car heritage: Track-bred performance
Alongside its SUVs, Nissan’s sports car lineup carries the same V6 engineering into a more driver-focused experience.
The Nissan Z is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 400 horsepower, engineered for immediate throttle response. The Z NISMO builds on this with a factory-tuned version of the same engine producing 420 horsepower – a 20-horsepower gain – offering drivers in Bahrain a sharper, more track-focused version of the same platform.
